The Chris Martin-fronted band previews the song in a new ad for U.K. channel Sky Movies Christmas.

AceShowbiz - Coldplay has given fans the first listen to "Miracles", a new song they've recorded for the soundtrack of Angelina Jolie-directed movie "Unbroken". A snippet of the track is featured in a commercial for U.K. channel Sky Movies Christmas.

Several seconds of "Miracles" can be heard over the footage of Christmas-themed films like "Miracle on 34th Street", "Home Alone" and "Elf". Fans will have to wait until December 16 to hear the full version.

"Unbroken" is opening in U.S. cinemas this Christmas. It follows the incredible life of Olympian and war hero Louis "Louie" Zamperini, played by Jack O'Connell, who survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII. He and two other survivors were later caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.

A strong contender to be nominated for an Oscar at the 2015 ceremony, Coldplay's "Miracles" will reportedly be played when the credits are rolling.
