The British actor, who recently admitted in a TV interview that he went to 'Star Wars' filming set, reacted to speculations that he is the one who provided the narration in the new teaser trailer.

AceShowbiz - Benedict Cumberbatch, who has been heavily speculated to be the one who provided voiceover for the new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" teaser trailer, has commented on the speculations. The actor briefly mentioned the highly anticipated movie when he attended the Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2014 on Sunday, November 30.

When asked about the trailer, Cumberbatch who voices the dragon Smaug in the upcoming "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" turned to his publicist and eventually said, "Yeah, I can put that one to bed can't I? I mean, I am NOT the voice of the 'Star Wars' trailer, nor am I the hooded character with the rather cool new lightsaber, so...no. No, no." When asked if he would appear in the film somewhere, he replied, "No," and left.

A teaser trailer for the sci-fi movie which features a narration from Andy Serkis landed online on Friday. The 88-second clip which teases Millennium Falcon and an appearance by "Attack the Block" star John Boyega among others was played about 40 million times in less than 72 hours on various YouTube channels, according to THR.

Boyega responded to the enthusiasm shown by fans as well as racist comments about his stormtrooper role in an Instagram post over the weekend. He left a classy message before ending it with, "To whom it may concern, get used to it."
