Steve Jobs Biopic Lands at Universal After Sony Let It Go
Movie

The Danny Boyle-directed movie about the late Apple co-founder is now being developed under a new studio, just a few days after being dropped by Sony.

AceShowbiz - The untitled Steve Jobs biopic has apparently found a new home after being put into turnaround by Sony. According a source from TheWrap, Universal has picked up the upcoming movie about the late Apple co-founder, less than a week after Sony got cold feet.

Danny Boyle is attached to direct the pic from a script by Aaron Sorkin. Michael Fassbender is reportedly in talks for the lead role after Christian Bale bailed on the project. Jessica Chastain and Seth Rogen are rumored joining the cast as well.

"It's a cool team," Rogen recently said to IGN. "There's a lot that needs to happen between now and then - they haven't closed the deal with the studio which means they haven't closed the deals with any of the actors or any of that stuff. But if that movie gets made, I think there's a good chance that I will be in it."

The official synopsis is still kept under wraps, but Sorkin insisted the movie was not a biopic or a "cradle-to-grave" story. He said Jobs' daughter Lisa would be a pivotal character in the biopic and called her "the heroine of the movie."
