The band sends out some tweets as they are stuck on their tour bus in Buffalo, New York, writing, 'Haven't really moved in 30 hours and we've been on the bus for nearly 40 hours.'

AceShowbiz - Rock band Interpol has been trapped on their tour bus for nearly two days because of epic snowstorm in New York. The band left Columbus, Ohio for Toronto, Canada on Monday, November 17 but they have been stuck just outside Buffalo, New York due to the bad weather since Tuesday.

The band was forced to cancel their Toronto gig, which was supposed to take place on Tuesday night, because of the blizzard. "Our bus is trapped in a snowstorm just outside of Buffalo. We haven't moved our position on the road in over nine hours. Unfortunately, we'll have to cancel tonight's concert at the Kool Haus. We were greatly looking forward to the show but the big bad winter has come early this year. We will be informing people of a new date as soon as we can," they said in a statement posted on their site. They later also announced cancellation for the Thursday gig in Montreal.

The band keeps giving a live tweet from the bus as they are stranded. "Hour 13 trapped in the snow. Dry goods and vodka. We will make it," Daniel Kessler captioned a photo. "Still trapped yo! Haven't really moved in 30 hours and we've been on the bus for nearly 40 hours. Nutso. Never seen anything like it," Kessler added a few hours later.

"Settling in for another night. Haven't moved all day. Hoping the expected storm tonight ain't as bad as predicted. C'mon now now," Kessler wrote on Wednesday, thanking fans for their well-wishes in another post, "Keeping the spirits in a good place ya'll. thanks for the well wishes. It means a lot to us. Big ups to you."

According to USA Today, more than 5-feet snow was on the ground by Wednesday and it is expected to reach 8 feet on Thursday and Friday. The average snowfall for a year, meanwhile, is nearly 8 feet. So far, at least seven people died from the snowstorm-related incidents.
