The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star reportedly is wanted to play the main character in the comic book adaptation.

AceShowbiz - Chris Pratt is sticking to comic book adaptations, if the latest reports are true. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star is rumored to star in planned feature film adaptation of "Cowboy Ninja Viking".

Pratt is tapped to play Duncan, the main protagonist in the graphic novel by A.J. Lieberman and Riley Rossmo. Described as Triplet a.k.a. having a multiple personality disorder, Duncan is able to switch between the identities of a cowboy, a ninja and a Viking, all while assuming the skills native to each identity.

Duncan is manipulated by the government to become an assassin for his varied skills through a program led by psychotherapist Dr. Sebastian Ghislain. He is considered the most effective assassin the program produced.

"Zombieland" writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese penned the script. Disney turned down their pitch because it was "too edgy" but Universal later picked it up. "World War Z" director Marc Forster was once touted to direct the film but he is no longer involved.
