The Mouse House has hired a notable scribe to pen the screenplay and an award-winning cinematographer to sit at the helm.

AceShowbiz - Disney is reviving its "White Fang" franchise, The Hollywood Reporter learns. For the new installment, the studio has hired Jose Rivera to write the screenplay and Lance Acord to serve behind the lens. It will make the directorial debut for the latter.
Rivera is an Oscar nominee who penned the 2004 movie "The Motorcycle Diaries". Acord is an award-winning cinematographer who is known for working with Spike Jonze on films such as "Being John Malkovich", "Adaptation", and "Where the Wild Things Are".
The Mouse House released the first film starring Ethan Hawke in 1991, followed it up with "White Fang 2: Myth of the White Wolf" in 1994, and shelved the property until now. Based on Jack London's novel of the same title, the original story revolved around the friendship between a young gold hunter and a wild wolfdog.
