'Cake Boss' Star Buddy Valastro Arrested for DWI

A police spokesperson confirms Valastro 'was noticeably unsteady on his feet' and had 'bloodshot watery eyes' when he was pulled over in Manhattan.

AceShowbiz - Buddy Valastro of TLC's show "Cake Boss" was recently busted for allegedly driving while intoxicated. New York Police Det. Martin Speechley confirms Valastro was pulled over after New York City police noticed his 2014 Chevrolet Corvette swerving on 10th Avenue in lower Manhattan on Thursday, November 13 at 1 A.M.

According to the police, Valastro's breath smelled of alcohol. He also had flushed face and watery, bloodshot eyes. He "was noticeably unsteady on his feet" and failed sobriety test. He reportedly blew .09 while the legal limit is .08. He subsequently was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with impaired ability.

The baker showed up in court on Thursday afternoon for the case. During the court session, the prosecutor revealed Valastro told the police he's a good guy and asked them not to arrest him and just help him get a cab. "You can't arrest me! I'm the Cake Boss," he allegedly said, as quoted by TMZ.

Valastro, who also has appeared on "Kitchen Boss" and "The Next Great Baker", pleaded not guilty. His next court appearance has been scheduled for January 6. Valastro's camp has not responded to requests for comment.
