AceShowbiz - Nate Mendel, the bassist for Foo Fighters, and his girlfriend Kate Jackson have tied the knot, Billboard reports. The musician married his girlfriend in an intimate ceremony on October 11 at Studio City's Tree People, an organization which is based at the top of Coldwater Canyon in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley.

Mendel and Jackson exchanged vows in front of guests which included his bandmates Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, Chris Shifflet and Taylor Hawkins. The bride wore a dress by Angel Sanchez while the groom opted for a Bottega Veneta piece.

The Good Time Boys provided music for the happy event. Foo Fighter's drummer Hawkins reportedly showed off his singing skills onstage by delivering renditions of some songs.

Mendel and Jackson met for the first time in 2009 when she served as director of marketing and publicity at Sub Pop and started dating a few months later. This is the second marriage for Mendel.

In other news, Foo Fighters released their new album "Sonic Highways" on November 10 via Roswell Recordings/RCA Records. The set, which serves as the follow-up to 2011's "Wasting Light", contains eight songs which were recorded in eight cities across the U.S.
