Toxicology tests detected prescription medications in 'therapeutic' concentrations in Williams' system at the time of his death.

AceShowbiz - Robin Williams was sober at the time of his death, according to the Marin County coroner as they conclude their investigation. No evidence of alcohol or illegal drugs was discovered in the actor's system after he committed suicide at his home in August.

Instead, "therapeutic concentrations" of medication were detected in his body. A closed bottle of Seroquel, a drug to treat bipolar disorders and depression, was indeed found at his room. He was prescribed the medication a week before he died.

Williams died August 11 after hanging himself with a belt. He also attempted to cut his wrists with a pocket knife. Shortly after his suicide, his wife Susan Schneider revealed his struggle with Parkinson's disease that led him to severe depression.

However, Susan said the actor showed good signs the night before he took his own life. According to her, the "Night at the Museum" star looked "excited" and grabbed his iPad after months of shunning television. The web history on his electronic device later revealed his online search for discussions of medications including Lyrica and propranolol.
