The 'True Detective' star will host 'Saturday Night Live' on November 15, just in time to promote his movie 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1'.

AceShowbiz - Woody Harrelson is booked for a "Saturday Night Live" appearance. The Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning actor has been tapped to host the November 15 episode of the long-running variety series.

He'll take the stage on Studio 8H just in time to promote his new movie "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1", which is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on November 21. This will be the third time Harrelson hosts the show after previously tackling the same duty in 1989 and 1992.

Harrelson, who starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in the first season of the critically-acclaimed HBO series "True Detective", will be joined by Kendrick Lamar as musical guest. The rapper has performed on the sketch series in 2013.

"SNL" recently aired an episode hosted by Chris Rock. The November 1 outing pulled the highest ratings since the February 1 episode hosted by Melissa McCarthy with a 2.4 rating in adults 18-49. Prince was the musical guest in the episode.
