AceShowbiz - Kelly Clarkson is a fan of Taylor Swift's hit single "Shake It Off". The "American Idol" alum let everyone including Swift herself know it when she performed an exciting cover of the chart-topper during a concert in Buffalo, New York on Saturday, October 25.
"This is a church song, this is a soulful song. This is one of my favorite songs out right now," Clarkson told the cheering crowd before starting the performance. She first turned the upbeat track into a soulful, stripped-down ballad before singing the chorus over the original beat.
"I love that song," Clarkson said once she finished the song. "Seriously, everyone gives Taylor such a hard time, but she can write a hook - I'm just sayin'."
"Shake It Off" is set to appear on Swift's new album "1989" that's coming out on Monday, October 27. The 24-year-old star responded to Clarkson's cover on Twitter, saying the new mom slayed the song.
Clarkson quickly replied, "@taylorswift13 Love this song! Hope you like our gospel beginning ha! We had fun with it! Congrats on the new album coming out girl!"
Watching Kelly Clarkson SLAY "Shake It Off" is an excellent way to celebrate 26 HOURS TIL 1989!!!!!!
