The country-turned-pop superstar performs 'Shake It Off' and 'Out of the Woods' from her upcoming album '1989' for 15,000 screaming fans outside 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' studio.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift took over Los Angeles' Hollywood Boulevard on Thursday night, October 23 when she promoted her new album "1989" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". After having an interview with host Jimmy Kimmel, the country-turned-pop singer treated a crowd of nearly 15,000 fans outside "Kimmel" studio to the live performances of some songs from the LP.

Swift took the stage in a black crop top and a pair of matching pants. In addition to singing the chart-topping "Shake It Off" as thousands of fans screamed, the 24-year-old superstar delivered the first live rendition of "Out of the Woods" which was allegedly inspired by her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles.

During the interview with Kimmel, Swift talked about her first visit to the ABC late-night show as well as her "1989" album. Kimmel recalled the moment when young Swift came to the show with her guitar and asked Scott Igoe, who booked the musical acts for the show, if she could play a song for him.

"He said, 'No, you can't be in the greenroom, we serve alcohol here. You're too young. You have to go.' So he threw her out. He threw Taylor Swift out of our building," Kimmel said.

Swift then said, "All's well that ends well because I think of it like this: I think you probably would have gotten in more trouble with Jimmy had he wandered out and been like, 'Why is there this random 14-year-old tiny child sitting here with a guitar case? What's happening here?' "

"1989", Swift's fifth studio album and her first pop effort, is due out on October 27. The "Red" hitmaker also told Kimmel that she's more confident about this album than any of her previous full-lengths.

"But it's almost like you're releasing this thing into the world that you spent two years with, and it's just been mine for two years and now it's everybody else's. You know, sending it off to college," she explained.
