AceShowbiz - Adam McKay wants to direct a Marvel movie. Having been hired to polish "Ant-Man" script, the filmmaker reveals there have been talks about him taking the director's seat for an upcoming Marvel Studios project.

"I just did a big rewrite on 'Ant-Man' with Paul Rudd and had such a great time working with them that we're kicking around ideas," he tells Crave Online when asked if he's going to direct a Marvel movie. He adds, "But yeah, maybe I would take on one of the characters so we haven't locked in anything, but discussions are definitely going on."

McKay is currently working on "The Big Short", a drama movie based on Michael Lewis' about the recent free fall of the American economy. He writes the script and is also on board as director. Brad Pitt serves as producer.

McKay's other directing gigs include an episode of HBO's "Eastbound & Down" which he executive produced, 2010's comedy film "The Other Guys" and 2013's "Anchorman: The Legend Continues".
