AceShowbiz - Fall Out Boy has released the official music video for their new single, "Centuries". Premiered on Vevo on Friday, October 17, the clip finds the four members of the band transforming into gladiators who are forced to fight for their lives against a massive monster.
Patrick Stump and his bandmates all try to take down their opponent, but the guys are easily defeated. They stay alive thanks to some items given to them by a mysterious man who appears in the first seconds of the clip.
"Getting back up. Dusting it off. My dad used to tell me the most important part of any of it was getting back up on the horse - I didn't grow up on a farm but it still applied," FOB's Pete Wentz said of the video's themes. "David vs. Goliath, us vs. them, you vs. the world... brains, talent and luck are great but heart will always trump them. That is the sentiment of this video."
"Centuries", debuted last month, is the first single from Fall Out Boy's upcoming sixth album. The follow-up to last year's "Save Rock and Roll" still has no title or official release date.
The band also released a new song called "Immortals" earlier this week. They wrote and recorded the track for the upcoming Disney film "Big Hero 6" which is hitting U.S. theaters on November 7.
