The 'X-Men' actress has partnered with the New York City-based designer to support the U.N. World Food Programme.

AceShowbiz - Halle Berry has teamed up with Michael Kors to use the power of fashion and Hollywood to support the U.N. World Food Programme. On Thursday, October 16, Michael told CNN that he would donate 100 meals to children in need for every selfie people took while wearing his "Watch Hunger Stop" tee and posted it along with hashtag #WatchHungerStop.

"I think the amazing thing about the hunger initiative with the World Food Programme is that everyone has the possibility to pitch in," Michael, who initiated the #WatchHungerStop campaign in early 2013, said, "You don't have to be wealthy. You don't have to be a certain age. You don't have to live in a certain geographical area. Everyone can really contribute."

He added, "We want to see zero hunger in the world ... so we still have a ways to go. I think you can be optimistic; you can have fun; you can be compassionate, and you can be chic all at the same time."

In addition to the "Watch Hunger Stop" tee, Michael designed a limited-edition 100 Series watch in support of World Food Programme in October. For every watch sold, 100 meals, which is about $25, will also be donated to the WFP.

Halle, who recently visited a WFP site in Nicaragua on behalf of Michael's philanthropic initiative to help raising awareness and funds for the programme, said of her visit, "It was incredibly moving. It's hard to describe the mix of emotions you feel - sadness, certainly, to sit and talk with children who don't get the nutrition they need to grow. But also respect and admiration for their families and communities, who do so much for them."
