Warner Bros. Reveals Slate for 'Lego Batman', 'Ninjago' and 'Lego Movie 2'

Two of the 'Lego Movie' spin-offs are set for 2016 and 2017, while the sequel to the 2013 flick is planned for 2018.

AceShowbiz - In a major announcement at investor conference, Warner Bros. announces the slate for three Lego movies. The studio confirms they will release three Lego-branded films over the next four years, building upon the enormous success of this year's "The Lego Movie" which earned $468 million worldwide.

"Ninjago" will hit theaters first in 2016. It's directed by Charlie Bean and produced by Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord and Chris Miller. "The Lego Batman Movie" is scheduled to follow in 2017 with Chris McKay at the helm, and "The Lego Movie 2" will arrive in 2018.

At the same event, WB also reveals at least 10 DC superhero movies including stand-alone Batman and Superman films from 2016 through 2020. On top of that, the studio confirms the making of trilogy based on "Harry Potter" side story "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them".
