Father Gabriel Stokes enters the scene as Rick and the gang find an abandoned church surrounded by walkers.

AceShowbiz - The second episode of "The Walking Dead" season 5 will no longer take place in Terminus. As seen in the sneak peek to the episode "Strangers", Rick leads his group through the jungle in search for a new sanctuary and encounters a few problems on the way which are not necessarily walkers.

The official synopsis says, "With supplies running low, Rick leads a mission where the risk might not be worth the reward." The episode is written by the comic book creator executive producer of the show Robert Kirkman.

The sneak peek includes the gang's first encounter with Father Gabriel Stokes (Seth Gilliam) who is found in an abandoned church surrounded by walkers. THR previously reported that Gilliam has joined the show as a series regular in season 5, meaning the character will stay at least for a while.

"I actually did not realize I was reading for the role of Father Gabriel during the casting process," Gilliam told Entertainment Weekly in August. "The sides were for a school guidance counselor named Michael who had an issue with a couple of his students."

Meanwhile, a sneak peek of the episode gives a scene where Sasha and Bob make jokes and kiss while the group walk through the woods. Suddenly, they hear someone crying for help and Carl encourages his father to help whoever it is.

"Strangers" airs Sunday, October 19 on AMC.
