AceShowbiz - The name of Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling's baby is revealed. According to the birth certificate obtained by TMZ, the couple names their daughter Esmeralda Amada. The bundle of joy was born at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California, at 10:22 A.M. on September 12.
Mendes reportedly once played a character named Esmeralda on the action/comedy drama series "V.I.P." Coincidentally, the actress also portrayed a character named Amada in 2007's movie "We Own the Night" which stars Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg. It means "beloved" in Spanish.
Mendes and Gosling started dating in 2011 and were notoriously private about their relationship. The baby is the first child for both. They managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps until earlier this summer when she was seen sporting noticeable baby bump when stepping out in El Lay.
Back in February, she was rumored telling officers at the Transportation Security Administration checkpoint at LAX that she would not be able to pass through the body scanner "because she's pregnant," which she later clarified.
