The reality star, who receives 15 months in jail for fraud charges, talks about her regrets in a new magazine interview a week after the sentencing.

AceShowbiz - Teresa Giudice may have some regrets after she was sentenced to prison for fraud charges. However, the mother of four is trying to think positively amid the legal drama. Following the October 2 sentencing, the star of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" speaks to Us Magazine about facing the future.

"I wish I could do everything differently," she says in an interview published in the magazine's latest issue. "But then again, maybe not, because this is a life lesson that I need to learn and will learn, and will teach my children for the rest of my life, just as Judge Salas told me she expected me to do."

The mother of four will start her sentence in January. Her husband Joe, who receives 41 months in jail, will begin his term later so that at least one of them can be at home with their young children.

A former attorney for Teresa and her husband who represented the couple in the original bankruptcy case in 2010 has commented on the Giudices' legal problem. Speaking to PEOPLE, Jim Kridel said that Teresa probably was not aware that she committed crimes.

"I did not believe that Teresa was all that knowledgeable about any of the finances of her family until ultimately she became the breadwinner," he said. "Everyone seems to blame her that she knew or should have known. I don't find that to be true in real life, though. People come in and sign tax returns quite often, and the spouse who is not in charge of the finances has no information. They just do what the accountant tells them."
