Foo Fighters Announces Week-Long Residency on David Letterman's 'Late Show'

The band's five-night residency will start on Monday, October 13, when frontman Dave Grohl will also sit down for an interview with the chat show's host.

AceShowbiz - Foo Fighters is promoting their upcoming album "Sonic Highways" and their HBO documentary series on "Late Show with David Letterman" next week. The band will have a week-long residency on the chat show starting on Monday, October 13 until October 17.

During their five-night residency, the group will play covers of tracks that helped inspire their new album. They'll have a special guest to perform with them every night. The exact guests haven't been announced yet.

In addition to performing, Foo Fighter's frontman Dave Grohl will sit down for an interview with the show's host David Letterman in the October 13 episode.

"Sonic Highways" album is coming out on November 10. For the LP, the band recorded eight songs in eight cities across the U.S., including Los Angeles, Seattle and New York. The making of the project is chronicled in the eight-part documentary titled "Foo Fighters Sonic Highways" that's premiering on HBO on October 17.

In a recently-released trailer for the series, Grohl also says he has interviewed fellow musicians from those eight cities like Dolly Parton, Slash, Clive Davis, LL Cool J and more.
