J.Lo, whose 'Booty (Remix)' featuring Iggy Azalea recently hit Bilboard Hot 100's No. 18, reveals the song's original version almost didn't make the cut to her 'A.K.A.' album.

AceShowbiz - The remix of "Booty" has officially become Jennifer Lopez's newest hit. Featuring some new bars from one of the hottest female rappers in the game Iggy Azalea and supported by a super steamy music video, the new version recently hit No. 18 on Billboard Hot 100.

The sexy music video, which shows the two ladies baring their assets in skimpy outfits, plays very important role in the success. According to Billboard, 92|percent| of the song's Hot 100 points came from streaming, and 96|percent| of its streaming points are from Vevo on YouTube clicks.

The original version of "Booty" features J.Lo's frequent collaborator Pitbull. It appears on her latest album, "A.K.A.", which was released earlier this year.

However, the track almost didn't make the cut to the LP. Lopez said, "When I first heard the song I didn't want to do the song. For the same reasons everybody else thought, you know it's reducing myself to something, it's just about the booty and all that."

She was "ready to throw ['Booty'] into the garbage," but she changed her mind because of her kids. "But I played it in the car with my kids and they loved it immediately," she continued. "I said, 'You know what, this is a fun song.' "

Featuring lyrics like, "Mesmerised by the size of it... Throw up your hands if you love a big booty," the song is too provocative for some people. However, Lopez insists the track is actually very positive.

"At the end of the day, I thought this is empowering, this is fun. Why after a certain age you have to stop having fun or being sexy or you have to stop living? It doesn't have to be at or 30 that it's over... This is good for women," she added.
