Wu-Tang Clan Signs New Deal With Warner Bros., Reveals 'A Better Tomorrow' Release Date

The group's long-awaited album to mark their 20th anniversary is set to hit the stores on December 2, becoming their first project to arrive under the record label.

AceShowbiz - Wu-Tang Clan's long-awaited 20th anniversary album, "A Better Tomorrow", finally has an official release date. The rap collective has revealed they've signed a new deal with Warner Bros. and the new record will be released on December 2 under the label.

"Wu-Tang Clan is excited to join the Warner family of esteemed artists," Wu-Tang Clan said of joining the label in a press statement. "After 20 years in the business with different label outlets, we are delighted to be amongst a team of industry professionals who understand our unique artistry and will help spread it to the masses unadulterated."

"In the words of [Ghostface Killah], when it comes to being signed to Warner Bros., 'We're getting Bugs Bunny money,' " they added.

Warner Bros. has confirmed the news and expressed their excitement to have signed the rap group. Warner Bros. Records chairman and CEO Cameron Strang told Billboard, "Two decades on, they remain a major force in hip hop. I speak for everyone on our team when I say how thrilled we are to be the new home for one of hip hop's most influential groups. This is an exciting day in the history of Warner Bros. Records, and we can't wait to contribute to the next phase of their careers."

"A Better Tomorrow" will be Wu-Tang's first LP since 2007's "The 8 Diagrams". The group has another album on the way. Titled "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin", the set which they secretly worked on in years will come in a limited edition of just one copy.
