Rihanna, Eminem, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen Tapped for HBO's 'Concert of Valor'

The concert to honor war veterans, soldiers, and their families will also feature Meryl Streep, Carrie Underwood, Dave Grohl, Tom Hanks, and Steven Spielberg.

AceShowbiz - HBO, in conjunction with Starbucks, is holding a star-studded concert to honor military members and their families on Veterans Day. Musical guests include R&B singer Rihanna, rapper Eminem, heavy metal band Metallica, and rock star Bruce Springsteen.

Dubbed "The Concert for Valor", it will take place at the National Mall in Washington D.C. on November 11 at 7 P.M. EST. Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, "American Idol" alum Carrie Underwood and country band Zac Brown Band are set to perform as well.

Actor Tom Hanks will serve as executive producer and appear on the special event. Director Steven Spielberg, actress Meryl Streep, Hollywood star Jamie Foxx, and comic John Oliver will also take part in the celebration. The concert is free, but people are encouraged to make donation to the charities that benefit war veterans.

"The Concert for Valor will provide a national stage for ensuring that veterans and their families know that their fellow Americans� gratitude is genuine," HBO said. "Millions of people, including veterans, active duty service members, their families and Americans from all walks of life are expected to watch the free concert in person or on television, with the goal of raising awareness for veterans service organizations dedicated to education, wellness, reemployment and reintegration."
