Under the deal, the 'Blended' star will produce and star in four films that will be streaming exclusively on Netflix.

AceShowbiz - After securing streaming rights to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" sequel, Netflix has four other original films in its line-up. The streaming giant announced on Wednesday, October 1 that it had signed a four-movie deal with Adam Sandler.

Under the pact, the "Saturday Night Live" alum known for his comedic roles in movies will develop and produce four films that will be available exclusively on Netflix worldwide. He's also expected to star in the yet-to-be titled projects, the first of which may arrive in 2015.

"When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said 'yes' for one reason and one reason only... Netflix rhymes with 'wet chicks,' " Sandler jokingly says in a statement. "Let the streaming begin!"

Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos says, "People love Adam's films on Netflix and often watch them again and again. His appeal spans across viewers of all ages -- everybody has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite line -- not just in the U.S. but all over the world."

Sandler stars in Jason Reitman's "Men, Women & Children" which is currently in theaters. He also has completed "The Cobbler" which hasn't secured a U.S. release date. Both movies premiered at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival. He will also be featured in "Pixels", slated for July 24, 2015 release in the States.

Netflix recently announced it would premiere The Weinstein Company's "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend" on August 28, 2015, the same day the Michelle Yeoh-starring flick hits select IMAX theaters.
