The 'Just My Luck' actress forgot her lines a few times during her first appearance in the David Mamet play at West End theater.

AceShowbiz - Lindsay Lohan struggled during her stage debut in David Mamet's "Speed the Plow" at West End theater on Wednesday, September 24. According to a review from The Daily Beast, LiLo fumbled for words during a few acts.

Nico Hines wrote, "On the first night of previews, a work-in-progress feel is to be expected. But halfway through the second act of Speed-the-Plow, the audience was openly laughing at Lohan's struggle to grasp Mamet's sharp, trademark dialogue."

According to Nico, LiLo was sitting staring at a book which allegedly had some lines from the script written on it. At one point during an unusually long set change, a female audience member said, "Oh my god, it's so embarrassing." However, Nico added, "In truth, Lohan remained charming throughout."

LiLo received mixed reviews from the audience on Twitter. A user named Samuel Ch. Zernig praised LiLo's performance, writing, "#Intervaltweets #speedtheplow : @lindsaylohan is great so far! Little bit nervous at the beginning but then totally embraced it!" Matt Chenery tweeted, "After a nervous start and a shaky monologue (prompts needed) @lindsaylohan held her own to make a triumphant West End Debut #speedtheplow."

However, other users didn't seem to agree with them. Rosie Bannister posted, "When an audience laughs at the line 'you were fantastic' in an ironic way, you know you should cut your losses #speedtheplow." James Sewell wrote, "Shame the play itself was dire. Did it even have a director, or rehearsals even? So underwhelming. Whole audience disliked it #speedtheplow."
