AceShowbiz - Peter Facinelli has tried his hand on young adult novel. The "Twilight" star is working with author Barry Lyga and producer Rob DeFranco to release their new book "After the Red Rain" whose cover was unveiled via E! News on Wednesday, September 24. In the front page, a person can be seen standing on some rubble under the red sky.
Speaking to the entertainment site, Facinelli shared his excitement about the upcoming project. "I gained a real respect for the YA genre during my time with the Twilight series. I'm excited to offer my own take, and a story I have had the opportunity to co-create," he said.
The new novel is set in the future time where the world faces environmental disasters and mass poverty. The story centers on a boy named Rose who has super power to help the people on earth. It will be released by Little, Brown on August 15.
"Couldn't be happier to share this with you all - After The Red Rain I can't wait till the book comes out 8/15. I hope you love it," the "Nurse Jackie" star promoted the new book on Facebook. Lyga also told his followers to follow @aftetheredrain on Twitter because "cool stuff will probably happen there."
