Lena Headey and Charles Dance have signed up for supporting roles in the mash-up film which has just been acquired by Screen Gems.

AceShowbiz - "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" continues to add significant actors to its list. Lena Headey and Charles Dance, the two "Game of Thrones" stars, have joined the film adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's remix novel of the same name.

The pic has already secured Lily James and Sam Riley as the lead cast. She will play Elizabeth Benneth in the mash-up of Jane Austen prose and modern zombie fiction, starring opposite Riley as Mr. Darcy. Bella Heathcote, Jack Huston, Douglas Booth, Matt Smith, and Suki Waterhouse are in supporting roles.

The film is described as an expanded version of the Austen classic. It tells the timeless story of a woman's quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers.

The project has been in development for five years and will start filming this week with Burr Steers on the director's seat. David O. Russell wrote the screenplay and Steers polished it.

In other news, Screen Gems has closed a deal for U.S. distribution rights of the film which is scheduled to hit theaters next year.
