Eric, who is famously called in to the show to yell at Howard, passed away on Saturday, September 20 at a hospital in Sacramento.

AceShowbiz - Eric the Actor, a member of SiriusXM's "The Howard Stern Show's Wack Pack", died on Saturday, September 20 at a hospital in Sacramento, California at the age of 39. According to TMZ, Eric was rushed to the hospital after he began having cardiac-related problems.

His manager, Johnny Fratto, confirmed the sad news on Twitter on Sunday. He wrote alongside a picture of Eric and himself, "I am so sorry and so sad to inform everyone that my friend Eric 'The Actor' Lynch passed away yesterday afternoon!!!" An official from the hospital told the site that Eric was surrounded by his family and friends as well as his caretaker, Jon, when he passed away.

SiriusXM paid tribute to Eric via Twitter, "Rest in peace, Eric the Actor. We love you." Natalie Maines, Howard Stern's friend who has made several appearances on his show, tweeted, "As a tribute, let's get Eric trending. #EricTheActor."

Meanwhile, Jonah Hill wrote, "I just found out that Eric The Actor passed away. He entertained me for years. So sad that this great man left us. RIP Eric." Jimmy Kimmel posted, "Eric the Actor was my all-time favorite @HowardStern caller and I will miss him terribly #ByeForNow."

Eric, who has been calling in to Howard's show since 2002, last appeared on the show last week. At that time, he said that his parents were taking over his caretaking duties because his caretaker was moving away.

As an actor, Eric has made some cameo appearances on TV series like "In Plain Sight" and "Fringe".
