This is a collaborative project that Rogen jokingly describes only happening 'every two thousand years' in our galaxy.

AceShowbiz - Seth Rogen has signed up for a new comedy movie, teaming up with "Parks and Recreation" star Ben Schwartz and director Adam McKay. Rogen and Schwartz will both star in the untitled film which was pitched by the latter.

"Every two thousand years the planets of our galaxy align in a perfect line that funnels the cosmic energies of the universe to flow into one perfect comedic collaboration," Rogen said in the announcement Thursday, September 18. "The time is now. This is that project. Nothing will ever be the same. McKay and Schwartz are real smart, well-endowed guys, and we couldn't be more excited to be working with them."

Rogen will also produce the film under his Point Grey banner. His partners in the film, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver, are producing along with Gary Sanchez Productions' Will Ferrell, McKay and Kevin Messick. Good Universe' Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake will executive produce, with Erin Westerman overseeing for the company.

"Evan and Seth have been doing amazing things and we're so excited to work with them. Ben, not so much," McKay said jokingly in a statement. "Most of my problems with him are personal ones, but I have to give it up. He did come up with a great idea."
