Retitled 'Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension', the new installment of the horror flick takes 'Scouts vs. Zombies' old date.

AceShowbiz - The fifth installment of "Paranormal Activity" is not going to haunt the audience this Halloween season. Paramount Pictures has made a change in the release date of "Paranormal Activity 5" which is now known as "Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension".

The horror flick was supposed to hit theaters on October 25, 2014 but it will only see the light on March 13, 2015. Previous owner of the new date, the horror comedy "Scouts vs. Zombies", is shifted to February 20, 2015 release.

On the new date, the fifth "Paranormal Activity" will open against Disney's live-action version of "Cinderella" and Ron Howard's action-thriller "Heart of the Sea". Meanwhile, "Scouts vs. Zombies" battles it up with Sean Penn's thriller "The Gunman", Kevin Costner's sports drama "McFarland USA" and Natalie Portman's actioner "Jane Got a Gun".

"Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension" plot is still unknown. Gregory Plotkin who produced the franchise's last three films makes his directorial debut. "Scouts vs. Zombies" centers on three high school Boy Scouts who must use their skills to battle vicious zombies after their small town faces a zombie outbreak. Christopher Landon, who wrote the last four "Paranormal Activity" movies and directed "Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones", directs the pic.
