AceShowbiz - Mindy Kaling recently talked about her past relationship with B.J. Novak, her co-star on "The Office" whom she called a great person and collaborator. Speaking with Howard Stern in a new interview, Kaling mentioned Novak when Stern asked her about "great love" and admitted that she felt "miserable" when they split.
"He's a good friend of mine, yeah. He's my best friend. He broke up with me," she said in the radio interview. "It was years and years ago that that breakup happened. I was so sad, not angry, sad. That was the hottest I ever looked 'cause I stopped eating. When I get depressed, I stop eating. I was so miserable and so beautiful. I remember waking up, barely getting out of bed and we worked together but I didn't care. I had no makeup on... I was real miserable."
The star of "The Mindy Project" also shared that she would have said yes if he proposed to her back then. "At the time? Oh yeah. I was 24. For the record if anyone asked me to marry me I would have said yes," she said.
Although Novak and Kaling are no longer together, the pair remain close. "I love him, I think he's a great person but I'm not holding a candle for B.J.," Kaling told Stern.
