The 34-year-old rapper has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault for attacking a fan at an Atlanta nightclub.

AceShowbiz - Gucci Mane pleaded guilty on Monday, September 15 to aggravated assault charge. Gucci was sentenced to three years in prison for hitting a male fan in the head with vodka bottle at a nightclub in Atlanta back in March 2013.

Prosecutors previously said the victim, who was a soldier named James Lettley, actually tried to ask if he could have his picture taken with Gucci, but was attacked instead. According to authorities, James suffered a deep cut which required 10 stitches on his forehead.

The "Wasted" rapper's three-year sentence will run concurrently with his 39-month sentence for firearm possesion which he was given in late August. For the gun charges, Gucci was also sentenced to three years of supervised release with traveling restriction and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.

At that time, Gucci's lawyer, Drew Findling, asked judge to put the "Icy" rapper in a facility with drug program. "[Gucci] understands he has some work ahead of him and his goal is to bring resolution to this case and get back to performing," said Drew, "He doesn't want anything to distract him. He wants to do anything to get back to the work place and the work place is the stage."
