According to multiple media reports, the former Baltimore Ravens running back is going to appeal his suspension from the NFL on Monday.

AceShowbiz - Ray Rice reportedly is going to appeal his suspension from the NFL soon. According to Baltimore Sun, the former Baltimore Ravens running back is going to appeal his indefinite suspension on Monday.

Earlier this month, Rice made headlines after a video of him attacking his now wife Janay Palmer and dragging her unconscious body out of an elevator landed online. Rice was suspended for two games in July, but he later was cut by his team. On Friday, September 12, the NFL sent the NFL Players Association a letter to explain the indefinite suspension.

"This video shows a starkly different sequence of events from what you and your representatives stated when we met on June 16, and is important new information that warrants reconsideration of the discipline imposed on you in July," read the letter. "Based on this new information, I have concluded that the discipline imposed upon you in July was insufficient under all the circumstances and have determined instead to impose an indefinite suspension."

The NFL has been tangled in controversies related to disciplinary issue. Shortly after Rice's case caught public's attention, Greg Hardy of the Carolina Panthers was deactivated from the team's game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday as he was waiting domestic abuse trial.

Hardy, 26, was convicted on two counts of assault on his former girlfriend Nicole Holder and communicating threats in July. Back then, he was said "grabbing [the] victim and throwing her to the floor, throwing into a bathtub, slamming her against a futon, and strangling her." He requested an appeal and his court date has been scheduled for November 17.
