The Grammy-winning country singer releases a statement after being arrested for driving under the influence on Thursday evening, September 11.

AceShowbiz - Lynn Anderson has apologized to fans after she was arrested for driving under the influence on Thursday evening, September 11. Lynn was charged with DUI after she was involved in a car accident in West End Avenue around 9:00 P.M.

Lynn said in a new statement posted on her Facebook on Friday, "I apologize for the choices I made and subsequent actions on Thursday evening that ultimately resulted in the accident. By the grace of God, I am very grateful that no one was injured as a result. I am committed to the accountable steps that I will be facing on the road to recovery and am deeply sorry for anyone that I have harmed along this path."

According to her arrest warrant, Lynn showed "signs of impairment." The warrant also said she admitted to drinking alcohol and taking medical prescription before the crash.

The "(I Never Promised You a) Rose Garden" singer was released from prison on Friday around 4:00 A.M. after making bail on a $5,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on November 20.

This is not the first time Lynn was charged with DUI. Back in 2004, the 66-year-old singer was arrested for DUI in Texas after police found her passing out in her car on the side of an interstate.
