The Hollywood actor says his experience on the show 'revealed so much' about him that he thought he wasn't.

AceShowbiz - Gary Busey may not be a good housemate, but he is still loved by his fans. The eccentric actor, who often clashed with other "Celebrity Big Brother" contestants due to his poor manners, came out as a winner in the latest edition of the U.K. reality show.

The 70-year-old actor is the first American winner in the show's history. He was in the final with boxer Audley Harrison, "Benefits Street" star "White" Dee Kelly, former Bwitched singer Edele Lynch, "Gogglebox" star George Gilbey and former "Strictly Come Dancing" pro dancer James Jordan.

Busey, who has also joined U.S. reality show "The Celebrity Apprentice" twice, was nominated for eviction 24 times, the most among other housemates, but always got saved by viewers. He said to audience after leaving the house in Borehamwood, Hertfordhsire, "I love you all. I love every one of you."

Speaking with host Emma Willis, he said the experience "revealed so much [about himself] that I thought I wasn't." He admitted, "I didn't think I was selfish, I didn't think I was lazy, I didn't think I was insecure, I didn't think I had fear," before adding, "This show showed me things about myself. Big Brother is perfection, and they gave me guidance. It was just beautiful."

Audley Harrison was the runner-up. She commented on the results, "Second is great... They've picked Gary and I'm okay with that." James Jordan, who was dubbed the house villain, finished in the third place. He said of the top 2, Busey and Harrison, "I don't particularly like the two people who are left."
