The 64-year-old singer-songwriter said Mayor James Knowles wasn't seeing the full picture a month after a black teenager was killed by a white officer in Ferguson.

AceShowbiz - Stevie Wonder spoke out against Ferguson mayor, James Knowles, in a new interview on Wednesday, September 10. Stevie claimed James wasn't seeing the full picture a month after a black teenager named Michael Brown was shot to death by a white officer.
The "I Just Called to Say I Love You" singer said, "I don't know if the mayor has blinders on. But to say that he didn't know that there was a racial or cultural problem in the city is unfortunate." Stevie's comment was a response to James' previous statement which said there was no "racial divide" in the city.
Stevie spoke after announcing his upcoming fall North American tour which will feature songs from his Grammy-winning album, "Songs in the Key of Life". The concerts will also include performances of his new songs which were partly inspired by his monitoring of world news.
"Obviously the good, the bad and the ugly, I've seen it all," Stevie said, "I check out all of it. I am always challenged (by) anything that's negative to write something like ... how can we take it from that wrong place to getting it back to the right place? Unfortunately we're living in a time of disposable love and we've got to get it from that place to really valuing life, valuing love and valuing each other."
Stevie's tour will begin on November 6 in New York City and continue through ten additional cities. The final show will be held in Oakland, California in December.
