The band scores their second No. 1 album on the chart after their latest LP 'V' opens with 164,000.

AceShowbiz - Maroon 5's fifth studio abum, aptly titled "V", has made its way out to No. 1 on Billboard 200. Nielsen SoundScan reports the band's newest set makes its debut atop the list after selling 164,000 copies in the week ending September 7.

"V" gives Maroon 5 their second No. 1 album on Billboard 200 although its first-week sales are lower than its predecessor, 2012's "Overexposed", that arrived at No. 2 with 222,000. The dudes' first chart-topping set was "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" that opened with 429,000 following its release in 2007.

Next on Billboard 200, rapper Young Jeezy's "Seen It All: The Autobiography" comes at No. 2 with 121,000. His previous LP "Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition" debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 233,000 back in late 2011.

The soundtrack of "Guardians of the Galaxy" jumps one rung to No. 3 with 53,000, while Ariana Grande's "My Everything" falls from last week's No. 1 to this week's No. 4 with 42,000. At No. 5, Bob Marley's greatest hits set "Legend" rises from No. 100 with 41,000, thanks in large part to the discount on Google Play store.

Trailing behind the reggae legend is Counting Crows, whose "Somewhere Under Wonderland" bows at No. 6 with 32,000. The soundtrack of "Frozen (2013)" stays at No. 7 with 30,000.

Closing out the top 10 are Sam Smith's "In the Lonely Hour" that slips to No. 8 with just under 30,000, the "Now 51" album which sits at No. 9 with 28,000 and Wiz Khalifa's "Blacc Hollywood" that sells additional 20,000 in its third week.
