AceShowbiz - The date and some details for the upcoming Tony Awards have been released. The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing said on Monday, September 8 that the 69th annual Tony Awards would take place on Sunday, June 7, 2015. The 3-hour ceremony will be aired live on CBS from New York's Radio City Music Hall from 8-11 P.M. ET.
The cut-off date for Broadway shows eligible for nominations in the 2014-2015 season is Thursday, April 23. Nominees will be announced on Tuesday, April 28.
Last year, the awards event was hosted by Hugh Jackman. Audra McDonald, Bryan Cranston and Neil Patrick Harris were among winners at the event while "A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder", "Hedwig and the Angry Inch", "A Raisin in the Sun" and "All the Way" were among best productions.
