Half of the remaining couples break up before they head to the fantasy suite, but not all of the overnight dates end up nicely.

AceShowbiz - Love did spark on "Bachelor in Paradise". Some contestants walked away as couples when the show ended its first season with the finale airing on Monday, September 8 on ABC, but there were tears of goobye too.

Early in the episode, host Chris Harrison told the remaining six couples to take a look at their relationships, and if they couldn't see themselves together, they needed to break up immediately. Christy and Tasos, Zack and Jackie, and Graham and AshLee decided to split, which were not surprising at all.

The remaining couples, Marcus and Lacy, Cody and Michelle, Robert and Sarah, would take their relationships to the next level with the fantasy suite dates. Michelle was initially reluctant about the overnight date, but after a pep talk from her daughter, she decided to give it a go with Cody although she stressed it to Cody that that he would not get laid that night.

Lacy declared her love to Marcus, who commented, "It's an amazing feeling." Lacy told the camera, "He is the one. There is no doubt."

Sarah and Robert made out in the private hot tub, but things didn't go as Sarah had hoped. She revealed that Robert did not get physical with her and kept his jeans on in bed. "I wanted to stay up with Robert all night talking, being happy and in love, and it didn't happen," Sarah said. She ended up breaking up with Robert, who was surprised and crying since he admitted that he went slowly to avoid getting hurt.

Some "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" couples, Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici, Desiree Hartsock & Chris Siegfried, and Molly & Jason Mesnick, stopped by the show to interview the "Bachelor in Paradise" couples about their relationships.

In the final rose ceremony, Cody gave Michelle his final rose and she accepted. He also accepted her final rose. Marcus, meanwhile, took Lacy to a beach to propose to her and she said yes. They both accepted each other's roses. "I couldn't be happier with the decision I made," Marcus said. "Coming here was the best decision I ever made."

The show also caught up with Chris B. and Elise who quit the show voluntarily weeks ago. They revealed that they broke up just two weeks after leaving together.

Hours before the finale aired, ABC announced that they had renewed "Bachelor in Paradise" for a second season.
