The 'Mean Girls' actress, her younger brother Michael Jr. and a business partner have been hit with a cease-and-desist letter by a former business partner.

AceShowbiz - Lindsay Lohan apparently has landed in trouble. The actress, her brother Michael Jr. and a business partner named Christopher Roth have been hit with a cease-and-desist letter by a former business partner who claims that they stole the idea of a "virtual closet" app.

According to Page Six, Lohan and her brother collaborated with Fima Potik to create an app named Spotted Friend in 2013. Users of the mobile app will be able to see the "virtual closet" of their friends or celebrities and later buy the items from the designer. Their business partnership broke down later.

Potik sent the cease-and-desist letter recently after noticing that Michael was raising money for Vigme which allegedly is similar to the app. "In 2014, after being members of the company for over a year, without any warning, the Lohans and Mr. Roth launched a competing company and improperly took proprietary information and intellectual property from Spotted Friend to start the new business. We intend to take all action necessary ... to protect Spotted Friend's and Mr. Potik's legal rights and commercial interests," Potik's lawyer, Marc E. Kasowitz, wrote.

Lohan's lawyer Mark J. Heller denied the accusation. "Allegations of any impropriety in Lindsay Lohan's business relationship concerning this Web site are inaccurate and clearly designed to capitalize on her worldwide recognition as a fashion icon," he said.
