Penned by hitmakers busbee, Lee Thomas Miller and Chris Wallin, the track will appear in the country singer's first album of new material since 2001's 'Scarecrow'.
A brand new Garth Brooks song is finally here. The country superstar, who recently ended his more-than-a-decade retirement, released his comeback single titled "People Loving People" to country radio stations on Wednesday, September 3.
Marking his first real single since 2001, the midtempo country/rock track was penned by hitmakers busbee, Lee Thomas Miller and Chris Wallin. Over guitar and piano, Brooks sings about how people loving other people is the best solution for many issues the world is facing right now.
"All the colors and the cultures circle 'round us on a spindle/ It's a complicated riddle/ The solution is so simple," he sings. "It's people loving people/ That's the enemy of everything that's evil/ Ain't no quick fix at the end of a needle/ It's just people loving people."
The song is expected to be featured on what will be Brook's first LP of new original music since 2001's "Scarecrow". The yet-to-be-titled record is scheduled for release on Black Friday. Later this week, he'll embark on a new tour with wife Trisha Yearwood as supporting act.
