Netflix Renews 'Hemlock Grove' for Third and Final Season

The last 10 episodes of Netflix's original horror series are promised to be 'thrilling, suspenseful' and having a 'bold narrative.'

AceShowbiz - "Hemlock Grove" is coming to an end. Netflix has ordered a third season which will also be the final season of the horror series executive produced by Eli Roth. The 10-episode season 3 is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2015.

"We are so grateful to the fans of 'Hemlock Grove', who have championed the series so intensely over two seasons," says Roth. "We are looking forward to taking the last and final season into some dark and unexpected places, and to giving viewers the killer finale you'd come to expect from 'Hemlock Grove'."

Executive producer Charles "Chic" Eglee adds, "We are delighted that our fans have invited us back to explore the fiendish recesses of the human condition for another season. Knowing it will be our last gives us the opportunity to go out in a mushroom cloud of clever and soul-shattering mayhem. See you soon on the twisted streets of 'Hemlock Grove'."

Cindy Holland, Netflix's vp original programming, chimes in, "We, along with the fans, are looking forward to visiting Hemlock Grove one last time, and we know that Chic, Eli and the team will provide a riveting and mind-bending conclusion to complete the series."

Meanwhile, Katie O'Connell, CEO of Gaumont International Television, promises to deliver "a thrilling, suspenseful and bold narrative for this final chapter."

The Netflix original series is based on Brian McGreevy's novel of the same title. The gothic horror thriller explores the strange happenings in a small Pennsylvania town with the likes of Famke Janssen, Bill Skarsgard and Dougray Scott in the cast ensemble.
