'Frozen' Characters to Return in Animated Short




Walt Disney Animation Studios has revealed plans to release a short movie featuring Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf.

The characters in "Frozen (2013)" will be back in a short animation movie. It was announced during ABC special "The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic" that the Walt Disney Animation Studios planned to release "Frozen Fever" in spring 2015.

Directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, the short will feature Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and snowman Olaf. Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give Anna a big birthday celebration but Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.

Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez will provide a new original song for the toon. Peter Del Vecho is to produce. Disney did not say in its announcement how the short would be shown, whether it would be attached to another film or presented on its own.

"Frozen" has been a massive hit for Disney with nearly $1.3 billion in worldwide ticket sales.
