Following the arraignment, he was seen looking bleary-eyed, carrying some documents and a plastic bag full of possessions.
English's attorney Edward Burke Jr. denied that the celebrity chef was drunk driving. "We adamantly deny the allegations levied against Mr. English and look forward to addressing this matter in a court of law," he said.
English has opened some restaurants across the country. Besides managing his business, he appeared on TV shows including "Iron Chef USA" and published several cookbooks.
In other news, English talked about food and traveling in a recent interview with The Boston Globe. Admitting that his favorite vacation spot was "anywhere along the coast of Italy," the father of three added that he would like to have "anything that's fresh and local to the area I'm visiting. I always want to know where the locals eat and what they eat - beverages included - and I go for that."
