The fan named Cesar Guerrero was honored at the event hosted by Sylmar High School and The Art Elysium, which aims to enrich the lives of critically ill youths, and the "Spring Breakers" actress came to support him on Thursday night, August 28.

According to E! News, Hudgens "volunteered to make a surprise appearance and make his night extra special" after learning of the event from a friend. "She dressed up, spent most of the night dancing with the kids and took countless photos with fans," the source continued. "[Cesar] told me it was the best night of his life."

The "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" actress later shared some photos of her and Guerrero on Instagram. "Hung out with @cesarrudyguerrero at his very own prom thanks to the amazing work of @theartofelysium #artheals," the 25-year-old actress wrote.

The happy fan also shared a photo of him getting a kiss on the cheek and thanked her for coming to his prom. "@vanessahudgens Thank you so much for coming to my special prom," he said. "It was really nice getting to know you and to dance with you. It really meant a lot to me that you took your time off and come to my prom. I love you so much. To all my friends to make you jealous here's a picture with my bb v."
