Jay-Z, Kanye West and Frank Ocean have been hit with a lawsuit for copyright infringement. According to XXL, the three rappers are accused of stealing a song from a New York musician named Joel McDonald.
McDonald who goes by the stage name Joel Mac claims the trio's "Made in America", from Jay-Z and West's 2011 collaborative album "Watch the Throne", is a rip-off of his 2009 song of the same title. He is now seeking $3 million in damages.
This is not Hov and Ye's first time to have been sued for a track appearing in their "Watch The Throne" album. Previously, soul musician Syl Johnson said the duo's "The Joy" featured an illegal sample of his song called "Different Strokes".
Universal Music Group and Def Jam were also named in the lawsuit filed by Johnson back in 2011. The case was settled in 2012.
