Tom Cruise and Foo Fighters are the latest celebrities to put interesting twist on Ice Bucket Challenge. Tom and director of "Mission: Impossible V", Christopher McQuarrie, chose to take 8 buckets of ice while Foo Fighters parodied 1976's horror movie "Carrie".
In a video posted on "Mission: Impossible" YouTube channel on Tuesday, August 19, Tom and Christopher can be seen standing with their arms crossed. Both of them wore sunglasses. Chris said in the beginning of the video, "As we are days away from shooting, the entire cast and crew are spread out over three continents, but we didn't want to miss the 24 hour deadline so Tom and I are here to take a hit for the team."
As they were sitting down, Tom put off his sunglasses. The "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol" actor then said, "Hit it." Soon after that, crew members started to pour 8 buckets of ice on them continuously. As they were poured with ice, Christopher said, "It's no ending."
Foo Fighters also posted a video of their members taking the Ice Bucket Challenge on their YouTube channel. In the video, the rock band recreated the famous prom night scene of "Carrie". Singer Dave Grohl turned into Carrie White by donning a tiara, strapless gown and wrist corsage. He also carried a bouquet of flowers. Meanwhile, drummer Taylor Hawkins turned into Tommy Ross by wearing a grey tuxedo.
Instead of being poured with pig blood, Dave was poured with a bucket of ice. After that, Taylor was knocked out by the empty bucket. The video ended with a message which read, "If you've got a taste for IceBuckets... Remember the reason. Create a world without ALS. Don't forget to donate after you dry off."
