Michael Strahan and his longtime fiancee Nicole Murphy called off their engagement due to his alleged infidelity, suggests a new report by TMZ. According to a source, the model was suspicious that Strahan might be unfaithful and decided to investigate. She reportedly found the proof in July.
Other sources told the site that their break-up took place a few weeks ago. Strahan and Murphy allegedly had been having on-and-off relationship since he took a part on "Live! with Kelly and Michael" in 2012. A separate source told PEOPLE similar info, saying, "They've been having problems for two years and have been off and on throughout."
A rep for Murphy confirmed the split on Friday, saying, "They love each other very much, but with the distance and work schedule it has been hard to maintain the relationship." Another source close to Murphy told the magazine that the separation "wasn't a shock to anybody around them."
Meanwhile, TMZ obtained some photos of Murphy vacationing with former NBA player Jim Jackson at the Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton in Puerto Rico in early July. In one image, a man's hand can bee seen resting on her knee. The pair reportedly looked affectionate, but sources told the site that Murphy happened to meet Jackson while she had a vacation with her girlfriends and that there was nothing serious between them.
