A source says that the singer will not collaborate with other singers during her upcoming performance at the awards show.
Taylor Swift is the latest act to join the line-up of performers at the upcoming 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, E! News has learned. A source tells the site that the country/pop superstar will be giving an "explosive" performance during the awards show set to take place in Los Angeles next month.
Further details about the performance are still kept under tight wraps, but the source can assure it won't involve other performers. "It's not a collaboration with another singer," the source explained, sparking speculations that Swift may debut her new music during the event.
Swift joins previously-announced performers including Usher, Ariana Grande and 5 Seconds of Summer. The 24-year-old star has won two VMAs in the past. She took home Best Female Video for "You Belong With Me" in 2009 and "I Knew You Were Trouble" in 2013.
The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards will air live on MTV on August 24 at 09:00 P.M. from The Forum in Inglewood, California.
