Toby Keith is once again the highest-paid country musician according to Forbes. The singer finds himself standing at the top of a list released by the financial magazine on Monday, July 28 after he raked in an estimated $65 million.
Despite being a country artist, Keith's money mostly came from his I Love This Bar and Grill restaurants, a lucrative endorsement deal with Ford and his Wild Shot line of mescal. He also made profits from the acts he signs to his Show Dog label.
Forbes reports that Keith has accumulated an estimated $335 million over the past six years
The second place of the list is occupied by Taylor Swift who pocketed $64 million thanks to the massive "Red" tour to support her 2012 album of the same name and endorsement deals with Diet Coke, Keds and CoverGirl.
Kenny Chesney takes the third spot with a whopping $44 million that came mostly from his "No Shoes Nation" tour. Jason Aldean ($37 million) and Luke Bryan ($34 million) round out the top five due to their embodiment of "country's move toward the mainstream," according to Forbes.
